The assembly of EFI fuel pump is a combination of EFI fuel pump and auxiliary tank, oil level sensor and installation flange.

The fuel pump is responsible for pumping the fuel out of the tank and supplying the engine with rated pressure. The excess fuel is refluxed from the return pipe to the tank. Fuel pumps are usually installed in the sub-tank. The so-called sub-tank is a cylindrical plastic shell. When the oil level of the tank is alarmed, there is still about 4-6 litres of fuel in the shell for continuous use until refueling.

The sensor consists of a float and a resistor. The position of the oil level float on the resistor is converted into a resistance signal to display the oil level. In addition, some fuel pump assemblies also integrate the functions of ejector, one-way valve, fall valve, exhaust valve, steam valve and so on, depending on the vehicle type. There are also external type, a single fuel pump is installed in the pipeline, and its auxiliary fuel tank and sensor are installed separately.
